The Scientific Method

It took awhile, but I was able to move into my own place 3 months after being kicked out of my previous life. I woke one morning & realized I know nothing about men. I had previously relied on my bestest gal pals (thanks ladies!) to obtain information about the more masculine sex. But they don't speak "man language" and neither do I.

I had spent the better part of my 20's with the same man, and I knew his language but that was it. After a few months of bad, yet well intentioned advice, I decided a different method was necessary. What if I went out every night, not always to a bar, dressed like me (not the dressed up version of me), and acted like myself (not minding my manners the way you do on a first date)? What would happen?

Being a bit of a nerd, I decided that rule and order were the best way to go, even if this was a matter of the heart.

The Scientific Method-

Background Research: My past experience. My friends thoughts, truths & opinions. Reading Eat, Prey, Love (that was hard to get through, it almost destroyed me) and He's Just Not That Into You (not the most eloquent text, but gave some incite).

Question: What are various types (cowboys, homies, the elusive silver fox, frat boys, nerds, average Joe's, pretty boys, jocks, you get the point) of men like? What kind of men are there out there that are attracted (i.e. potential partners in crime) to a woman like me (i.e. me)?

SubQuestion: What stereotype group do I fit into?

Hypothesis: There will be one prominent stereotype that will suit me better than all others. Men who are interested in organic me will approach.

Test the Hypothesis: Go out into this world in an attempt to score a date or two after providing FULL DISCLOSURE of my dual purpose (potential partner in crime & learning about men) with a representative from each stereotype & see what happens.

Analyze results & draw a conclusion: not enough research yet!

Communicate Results: that is what blogging is for.

I have a feeling that commandments 8 and 2 will come in handy during this process!
